"Every day is a good day to be alive, whether the sun's shining or not." - Marty Robbins

I thought today was going to be like every other day. I sat down at work (everyone arrived before me, which doesn't usually happen - but I wasn't late!) and started doing some work on my project. However, less than an hour later, I was told that my supervisor wanted me to actually go join here in a meeting.

Ear piece
Holy crap was it a cool meeting. I immediately grabbed my pen, my notebook and ran down to the Conference rooms and was abruptly stopped by security. I wasn't allowed in.

That's how cool the meeting I got to attend was. THEY HAD A SECURITY OFFICER. He was standing in front deciding who did and didn't get to go. It was a Security Council working group and I got to sit behind my supervisor and take notes with some of the smartest and most hardworking people in the world.

How crazy is that?

Afterwards, we had to head back upstairs for another meeting and I got to meet the new intern (I literally only found out that there was another intern about a week ago. Before then I had NO IDEA, on the phone I was told there was only one position. Oh well.) who was from France.

Sitting at the desk
I finally got moved into a cubicle today! I am sharing one with the intern and we had a lot of fun today! We talked, enjoyed each other's company and did some work. All in all a good and very productive day. We practised my french a lot (her English is excellent).

And when we left work, we walked and talked and some french guy actually started talking to me! It was weird because I guess he thought I was struggling in French and kept switching to English (which I mean...I'm not that bad I just wanted to practise).

I headed home, had some leftover dinner and then just relaxed. It's been nice.
